Weekend Run and The Regal Beagle

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Here in Boston we had some wonderful spring-like weather, which led to my first outdoor run of the year yesterday.

I started out unsure how long the run would be because it had been so long, but after 3 miles I felt amazing. I was excited too because for the first time ever I managed negative splits.

Being back out there was just what I needed. I would have gone further, but I had a massage appointment to get to. On that note, be on the lookout for a guest post soon on the benefits of massage for runners, fitness enthusiasts, and the general population.

After my massage I got together for dinner with Caitlin, who just moved to Boston! We hit The Regal Beagle in Brookline at the recommendation of a friend and it was delicious!

I had no idea they had such amazing food and drinks. We split an entrée (salmon over butternut squash latkes), a starter (duck sausage with polenta and walnuts), and a side (brussels with pancetta). My drink was the Maker’s Markham,  made with Maker’s Mark, St. Germain, Carpano, and orange blossom water.

Needless to say, we demolished all that food! Seeing Caitlin and catching up over such a great meal was the perfect end to my weekend. We’ll definitely be back, such a fun vibe.

Welcome to Boston, Caitlin!

So jealous that you got outside for a run this weekend. It was on my agenda, just never got around to check it off. And love that you were able to catch up with Caitlin – we all need to go out for drinks/dinner!
