It’s My Birthday! {Giveaway – Now Closed}

For the first time I can remember, it is my birthday and doesn’t feel like it at all.

Happy Birthday Cake2Source

I’m sure a lot of that is related to just getting back from Vegas (recaps to come soon, I swear!), but it’s so odd that I’ll be going to my weekend class like any other day and then out to a birthday dinner afterward.

Even though it doesn’t feel like my birthday right now, I’m still a year older and excited to share a giveaway with all of you in honor of my inevitable aging. Smile

Kelsa, who wrote a guest blog post while I was away, also works as an Independent Designer for Origami Owl and has generously donated an Origami Owl locket for one of my readers! If you’ve never heard of Origami Owl, it was started in 2010 by a 14 year old girl who wanted to save enough money to buy a car for her 16th birthday by selling Living Lockets. Now it has grown into a company that partners with women across the country who want to serve as Independent Designers and share the product with friends and family.

The locket Kelsa has donated for the giveaway will contain a running shoe and an apple to representing healthy living and wellness. Because Kelsa will be shipping the prize out to the winner herself, this giveaway is open to entries from the United States only.

There are several ways to get entries into this giveaway (see the Rafflecopter below) and you will have until the end of the day Monday (1/21) to enter.

Good luck to all of you!

    Love the apple! Idea for celebrating–run minutes to equal your age. (i.e. turning 30, for example, run 30 minutes)

      Great idea! I’ll have to do that tonight after class as last night I went straight to dinner after class. Good thing I got a birthday workout in before I left the house. :-)

    Apples and Arteries beat me to it! I was going to suggest burpees, crunches and squats tho!

      Love it! Before class I got in a workout using the kettlebell followed by burpees, planks, mountain climbers, rear leg elevated split squats, push ups, and sit ups. It was such an awesome way to start the birthday.

    Great giveaway idea, and happy happy birthday!! I’m celebrating my upcoming birthday by learning how to snowboard. Maybe you could learn to do something you’ve always wanted to do/try? I’m excited to check snowboarding off my bucket list!

    I saw on Facebook that you already added mountain climbers to your workout. :) Hope those treated you well! Happy birthday, Becki!

    Strangely enough, I had just seen Origami Owl for the first time the other day, from another blog I follow–small world! It’s awesome to see women from all over creating such beautiful jewelry together.

    Well, we just got home from celebrating my daughter’s 4th birthday which is also today (YAY! January 19th is a GREAT day to be born!). We had a Build a Bear Workshop birthday party. Build a Bear is a great way to use creativity and personalize your own bear. So, maybe for your birthday, you should dig into your creative side and go all out!!! Maybe make something that is all about you – a scrapbook, a quilt, even a stuffed bear! Something to honor and cherish your uniqueness!

    I think for your birthday you should try something you’ve always wanted to try, but never got the chance to. Something new and exciting to celebrate turing a year older!
