It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, y’all. Between a cortisone injection last Friday (I hope to share more about that soon), my first theater audition in seven years, and work being so busy that I have occasionally felt like I’m drowning, I haven’t had much time to blog.
Still, I couldn’t wait to share my new toy! Through a competition at work I was able to get a discount on a new Fitbit and I’m already addicted to it.
I opted for the Fitbit Charge HR because the allure of having all day heart rate (and therefore a more accurate picture of calories burned throughout the day) was too good to pass up.
I’ve been a Fitbit user since 2012. I’ve had versions that don’t even exist now. Ultra, One, Flex…let’s just say I really like fitness trackers.
The Charge HR is my favorite so far by leaps and bounds! I should note that yesterday was my first day wearing it, but still.
Isn’t it pretty? I went with the plum color instead of black because I could use a little color in my life.
Even with an injured foot and trying to minimize walking (doctor’s orders), I hit my 10,000 step goal because I was so motivated by the heart rate monitor and stair tracker (both features the Flex didn’t have).
The battery does seem to be draining more quickly than the website and enclosed materials suggested, but that may very well be because I keep cycling through the options on the device itself to see my progress.
It also keeps the time, which automatically flashes up when I turn my arm and look down at my wrist, but otherwise isn’t displayed. How cool is that?! The band is a standard watch band so it doesn’t budge unless I want it to.
You guys, I’m obsessed.
I’ll try to keep updating along the way to let you all know how things progress, but I highly recommend this tracker.
