Happy first day of fall! I don’t how the weather is where you are, but here in Boston it’s been feeling like fall for the past few days. This is one of my favorite times of year (honestly, I love any season change). I love all of the warm foods, hot tea, and bulky sweaters. Unfortunately, I think I’m catching the cold that has been going around my internship office so that makes it slightly less enjoyable. I’m trying to slow down just a little more than normal and get extra rest to help kick this thing quick, wish me luck!
Luckily I was still feeling in tip top shape on Wednesday evening and was able to attend the very first Boston Healthy Living Blogger meet up! After the Healthy Living Summit a group of local bloggers started a group so that we can all stay in touch and get together for events and mingling.
I knew Rachael would be going, but otherwise wasn’t sure who or what to expect. We were meeting at 6:30pm at Tavern in the Square so I came early to find parking and stake out a spot at Starbucks for a quick WIAW post.
Around 6:15 I started walking over to the restaurant and found Hannah waiting just inside the front door. We talked for a bit before anyone else arrived and I was so happy to have the chance to learn more about her as well as chatting about EnergyBits (for which I still need to write a full review).
Once others started to arrive, we got a table and sat down to a few drinks and awesome food. I got the roasted vegetable flatbread, which was delicious and HUGE!
Unfortunately the lighting was terrible and I never did get a great picture. Oh well, trust me that it was as beautiful as it was delicious. Eight of us came to the meet up and we talked about everything from graduate programs to vegetarianism, half marathons to lactose intolerance. I felt totally at ease with this group of girls and I absolutely cannot wait for our next get together. It’s so wonderful to spend time with people who have the same passion for healthy living that I have.
Even though the night ended fairly early and I was hope before 10, I was pretty exhausted the next day. Luckily I had received my most recent Bulu Box, which contained a sample of Hawaiian Coconut Energy supplement. I had on the next day at work and it was delicious. I love coconut flavor, but was afraid there would be a funny after taste; if there was one I certainly couldn’t tell. It also mixed with water much more easily than a lot of other powdered supplements. I liked it so much I had another one on Friday.
I’ve tried several supplements from Bulu Box, some of which I’ve loved and some of which I’ve
hated not loved as much, but this is probably my favorite. It’s sold out right now on the Bulu website, but I may have to buy some very soon. Even though I haven’t loved all of the products I’ve received through Bulu Box, that’s one of my favorite things about it, honestly. I can try products I’ve never even heard of before (and maybe even hate really dislike them), without spending an arm and a leg on a whole bottle or case. It’s fantastic when I get really lucky and love something, but it’s also great to be able to cross something off my list. I’m a huge Bulugan and I’ve been telling all of my friends about the service.
Now here’s your chance to try out a Bulu Box for yourself, for free!
In honor of receiving my third month of the service, Bulu Box recently contacted me about sponsoring a giveaway for THREE of my readers. If you’d like an opportunity to try out Bulu Box for yourself, enter the giveaway below. The giveaway will close just before midnight on Tuesday, so check it out and spread the word. Good luck!
